CONTACTLESS CAVE SHEPHERD CARD FAQ
Your Cave Shepherd Card now carries contactless payment technology which allows you to make payments at contactless enabled checkout terminals by simply waving or tapping your Card to initiate payment.
You will receive your new contactless Cave Shepherd Card in the mail when your existing Card expires.
Simply look for the contactless payment symbol on the checkout terminal; if the terminal accepts contactless payments, tap your contactless Cave Shepherd Card on the terminal, you can also wave above the terminal to initiate the payment
Your contactless Cave Shepherd Card can be used at any merchant who carries a contactless payment terminal. If the merchant does not carry a contactless enabled device, you may still proceed with your payment by either swiping or inserting your Card.
Very secure! Payments made with your contactless Cave Shepherd Card are protected with the same technology as Chip & Pin.
Contactless payments are extremely quick and easy which makes them ideal for payments at fast food restaurants, supermarkets, cinemas and more. They are also very secure as each contactless transaction generates a one-time usage code which protects your payment information.
Yes! Each contactless card carries an EMV chip which adds an extra layer of security and interacts securely with contactless terminals. Sensitive information such as your CVV number, PIN etc. cannot be accessed by hackers.
No. There are key steps which have to be taken such as confirmation of the purchase amount, in addition to your verification of the amount which has been entered into the contactless terminal.
Even though it may look easy to initiate a transaction, contactless cards carry limits on the value of transactions, which may prompt for additional information such as your PIN if the amount goes over an unspecified amount. Nevertheless, you are advised to contact the Cave Shepherd Card office immediately by using the numbers at the back of your Card, if you lose or misplace your Card.
Additionally, we advise you to register for transactional alerts which notifies you of any unauthorized transactions which are made on your account.
We advise you to always be vigilant, however, in the event that your card is compromised the Card will be immediately blocked and an investigation launched. A new contactless Cave Shepherd Card will then be reissued.
PIN SELECTION FAQ
A PIN is a four (4) digit Personal Identification Number which is uniquely linked to your Cave Shepherd Card. This PIN is required to initiate payments at any Chip & PIN enabled terminal and for ATM withdrawals.
Your PIN was initially provided to you when you became a Cave Shepherd Cardholder, to be used in the process of ATM withdrawals.
Yes, your current PIN will continue to work, however, you now have the ability to change your PIN at your convenience. Please note that once a PIN has been changed, the old PIN becomes invalid.
You can gain access to a new PIN by following these simple steps:
- Log into your CS Online account at caveshepherdcreditcard.com
- Select “Preferences”
- Then select “Change PIN” under “Card Online PIN”
- Enter your chosen four (4) digits and then select “Update”
- Once confirmed an “Online PIN has been changed” message will be displayed.

If you require a new PIN, simply log into your CS Online Account and follow the steps provided above to generate a new PIN.
No. Simply log into the CS Online Portal where your credentials will be verified. This will allow you to freely create a new PIN.
When you initiate a PIN change via the CS Online portal, the change is enforced immediately, allowing you instant access for POS purchases.
There are no restrictions on the number of times you can change your PIN online.
No, your PIN is only required for POS transactions or if you wish to make withdrawals at a ATM.
In the event that the merchant’s terminal is not Chip & PIN enabled, you will be asked to confirm the transaction by using your signature.
No. You must never share your PIN details as it must be protected at all times. If you suspect that someone has identified your PIN number, you are advised to log into the CS Online Portal and immediately change your PIN.

Your Cave Shepherd Visa Credit Card allows you to use it anywhere in the world you see a Visa logo and sign. The Cave Shepherd Student Smart Card is also a globally accepted card product specifically designed for students between the ages of 18 and 21 with student status.

The maximum limit of the Cave Shepherd Student Smart Card is $500
The Cave Shepherd Student Smart Cardholder will receive a digital birthday greeting notification from the Cave Shepherd Card Team as well as instructions on how to access their birthday gift.
Details around the annual scholarship will be announced by March of each year for presentation by September same year.
Details of the annual Credit Seminars will be emailed to all Cave Shepherd Student Smart Cardholders. Typically, these sessions will be slated for the month of October.
To be eligible for a Cave Shepherd Student Smart Card, you must:
- Be earning a minimum of $150 weekly
- Be between the ages of 18 and 21
Students with no income are eligible to apply, supported with a Guarantor
- Recent Job Letter and two most recent pay slips
- Valid Photo Identification
- Proof of Address
- $15 Processing Fee (Either Applicant or Guarantor to pay)
Yes. On the Application Form there is a section entitled Guarantor Summary Terms and Conditions which all guarantors must accept by signing.

Yes, you can. The Cardholder would be expected to clear the current card balance and then request to be transferred to the Cave Shepherd Student Smart Card. This request should be submitted via email to The Credit Manager, Cave Shepherd Card Services Department at [email protected]

The Cave Shepherd Card Mobile App is an application designed for users to conveniently perform everyday activities on their Cave Shepherd Card Account.

CS Online helps you to manage your transactions online meanwhile the Cave Shepherd Card Mobile App allows you access your account details, transfer credit to friends and family and much more!
This is great news! Your CS Online User ID and Password grants you access to the Cave Shepherd Card Mobile App.
If you are a CS Online user, you will have the ability to initiate a password reset by accessing your account. Alternatively, you will need to contact our 24-hour Customer Service Team to have your Mobile profile reset.

Yes! You will be granted access to all your active accounts through the Cave Shepherd Card Mobile App
No Way! You won’t be billed for downloading the Cave Shepherd Card Mobile App. However, please be aware that some charges may apply with your mobile service provider.
With the Cave Shepherd Card Mobile App, you will gain access to:
- View account balances for all active accounts
- Send and Receive funds to other Cave Shepherd Cardholders
- View recent Card and App transactions
- Shop online using the Merchant App (coming soon)
All credit transfers completed during the App will be limited to Cave Shepherd Cardholders.
All credit transfers completed in the App will be deducted from the existing Available Credit on your Cave Shepherd Card Account. These transactions will appear under your Recent App Transactions in the Mobile App and also appear on your monthly Statement.
Yes! For your convenience, you will have three (3) options for transferring credit to your friends and family. These can be found under the Send Funds option within the Mobile App and include: Phone to Phone, App User and Non-App User.
For your added security, we recommend that you create a Passcode that should be kept confidential, in the event that your registered Mobile Device is ever lost or stolen. This way you remain protected from any unauthorized usage of your Cave Shepherd Card Account.
Of course! Additional Cardholders will have access to the transfer funds feature; however, they may be limited in viewing full account details.
Unfortunately, no! To obtain these funds, you will need to request the Receiver to initiate sending a credit back to you.
Yes! You will have access to your last six (6) months Statements and these will be available for you to email and view.
These are your completed transactions which are yet to be settled by the Merchant. Once settled, these transactions will appear on your account and statement.
Unfortunately; not at this time! However, new features are being considered frequently to give you even more convenience.

A Cave Shepherd Card Mobile Partner is a micro, small or medium size business that registers with Cave Shepherd Card Services to have access the Cave Shepherd Card Mobile App to receive and make payments digitally, have access to real time balances and can transfer from the mobile account to a bank account.
The Cave Shepherd Card Mobile Partner Application Form is completed and submitted to Cave Shepherd Card Services at our Bridgetown Office or online at www.caveshepherdcreditcard.com
Copy of the Business Certificate, Copy of the CAIPO Form 1, Copy of Government Issued Identification, Proof of Address (copy of a utility bill must be less than three months old, or the top portion of a bank or Credit Union statement)

No, a credit limit is not automatically assigned to the Cave Shepherd Card. The Cave Shepherd Card has a zero balance credit limit, this means that the Mobile Partner is using the businesses money received from sale of products and services paid for by customers.
No, the Cave Shepherd Card is not a debit card; it is a Credit Card with a zero credit limit. This means that a credit limit is not assigned to the card.
Yes, the Cave Shepherd Card can be used internationally for online purchases without attracting monthly interest fees charged by Cave Shepherd Card Services as the money used is the businesses’ funds. However, local Government Taxes and international fees such as State Taxes, Transportation Fee etc., would be applied.
A Transaction Fee of 1.75% is charged on each payment received using the QR code feature. If the customer is using the Send & Receive function to make a payment a fee of $1.50 is paid by the customer. The Mobile Partner has the option to transfer accumulated funds from the Mobile Account to their Bank Account. The cost is $15 for each transfer requested. The transfer request is a feature within the App.
The Mobile Partner account with a credit limit is reclassified as a Mobile Partner with a Cave Shepherd Credit Card Account and that account will attract a monthly interest rate of 1.83%. A minimum payment which is calculated at 10% on the owned balance must be paid on the specified payment date.
Yes, Mobile Partners can make cash withdrawals using their Cave Shepherd Card from specified ATMs.
A Mobile Partner using their Cave Shepherd Card can withdraw $250 twice a week. If the Mobile Partner has a Cave Shepherd Credit Card at a Gold Status ($5,000 and over), the withdrawal limit is $500 twice a week.
Mobile Partners can use their Cave Shepherd Card and the Cave Shepherd Credit Card to make withdrawals from CIBC First Caribbean International Bank, Republic Bank Ltd., Bank of Scotia, RBC Royal Bank ATMs. All ATM Fees associated with the withdrawal will be charged to the account.

CREDITOR LIFE INSURANCE FAQ
All Cave Shepherd Cardholders between the age of 18 and 65 are registered under the Creditor Life Plan.
No need to apply! All Cave Shepherd Card applicants are automatically registered for the program.
The premium rate is 25c per $100 per month of the outstanding loan balance at the end of the prior month for a single Cardholder. For example, if your account balance at the end of July is $1,550, a total premium of $3.88 will be charged to your Cave Shepherd Card account during the month of August.
The outstanding balance on your Cave Shepherd Card will be repaid if you become disabled due to Short Term or Long-Term illness or in the event of death.
No, the coverage is only applicable to the principal Cardholder.
No. Medical evidence is not required for this insurance.
The premium will be charged directly to your Cave Shepherd Card account each month, once you have an outstanding balance at the end of the previous month.
Coverage terminates at age 70.
No, you will not be required to reapply, and you will only be charged a premium if you incur a balance on your account.
The Creditor Life Plan is a benefit and feature of the Cave Shepherd Card. As a result, the Cave Shepherd Card can not be activated without the Creditor Life Plan.
